Developing a strategy to develop the HE study skills of staff with vocational experience who are aiming to study at university.
WHO IS IT FOR?: Any education establishment or employer wanting to support staff or vocational students aiming to go to university by developing methods to ensure they will have the necessary skills and experience to succeed.
CASE STUDY: Involved creating self study workbooks for practitioners in Early Years, Health and Social Care.
ABOUT: The aim of this project was to provide an opportunity for those wishing to complete a Foundation degree in Early Years or Health and Social Care - who have sector experience and vocational qualifications at NVQ Level 4 or equivalent - to develop the HE study skills required to successfully complete HE Level 1. The work was a collaboration between the Universities of Southampton and Winchester.
