Supporting the Cut & Paste Generation
How can you prevent students turning to plagiarism?
It’s an issue faced by many education institutions and each organisation has their own way of dealing with it. But, at a successful event held at the Rose Bowl in April, Further and Higher Education practitioners agreed that deterring students from this in the first place was key to solving the problem.
Also discussed was how best to identify what academic writing skills are needed at each level for students and how we can collaborate to support the student’s transition from FE to HE.
The guest speakers were Dr Steven Henderson from Southampton Solent University and Christina Veasey from Sparsholt College Hampshire.

The event was organised by the Business & Management and Retail & Commercial Enterprises Curriculum Groups.
