IAG Event Success

This year’s Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) event in Southampton is being hailed the most successful yet, with over seventy delegates taking part. Held at the De Vere Grand Harbour Hotel on Wednesday 7 May the day was an essential date in the diary for the region’s career guidance professionals.

Staff development

The focus of this important staff development and awareness day was on flexible Higher Education provision and the labour market information that influences forthcoming trends in the workforce. The purpose of the event was to inform career advisers of the new opportunities in Higher Education for students, especially adult, work-based and vocational learners.

The event was organised by the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Lifelong Learning Network, with support from the Lifelong Learning Networks for Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Surrey and Aimhigher Hampshire and Isle of Wight.
